I fly with my own kids too
When families ask about nerves, kids, and first-timers, I'm speaking from home life as well as work.
About
I'm Drew Moore, a local tandem pilot in Interlaken. I built this guide so you can feel ready before you book, with straight answers from the flying side of the day.
Background
I started flying in 2006 and have worked in Interlaken since 2011. That adds up to over 16,000 passenger flights in this valley alone.
Before Switzerland I taught in New Zealand. These days I'm also a dad, and I take my own kids flying regularly. I know that mix of excitement and nerves, especially if it's your first flight or you're bringing little ones.
Year after year, people would turn up unsure what to expect. They had researched. Most websites still rush toward a booking button. I wanted somewhere calmer: timing, weather, safety, what to wear, and what the day actually feels like, in plain language.
I built this site for those practical questions. You'll find practical tools like the flight finder and a live MeteoSwiss forecast, plus the details booking pages usually skip.
If you're just getting started, try why Interlaken, the safety guide, or best time to fly. Or simply ask me. I'm happy to help.
You can also follow my flights as @paraglidingdrew on YouTube and Instagram.

This site
I wanted a place that explains the experience first and leaves the booking decision to you.
Interlaken has plenty of great operators, and most of their sites are built to get you booked. Fair enough. Before you commit, you may still have human questions: Is it safe? Will I be scared? What if it rains? Can the kids come?
I hope this becomes the friendly stop along the way: a pilot's-eye view of what flying here is really like.
Disclosure
I fly with one local operator. This guide comes from the seat I know best.
I'm here to explain what I know from my own work, including schedules and products like Double Air. Other operators may do things a little differently.
Use this site for information, then book wherever feels right. If something is still unclear, ask.
Questions welcome anytime. Just message me.
And if you'd like to fly with me: ask when you book. My schedule changes day by day, and I'd genuinely love to meet you in the air when it lines up.
More if you need it: cost, age & weight, weather cancellations, nervous first-timers.
